Sonya Cogan holds a master’s degree in business & human relations, a bachelor’s degree in studio art, and an associate’s degree in photography. She has worked in television advertising production and non-profits. She is also a photographer. She loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys the outdoors, animals, horseback riding, camping, traveling, and museums.

Her favorite children's books include Springer's Journey, Mole Had Everything, The Little House, Horseplay, and Miss Nelson is Missing. Her favorite book of all time is Jennifer's Walk.
